Faiqa Himma Emalia, was born in
Jember, East Java, Indonesia, on the26th of January, 1992. Since
2010, she officially became a student in the Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Indonesia.
Faiqa has always recognised passion for leadership and as a result, she was duly selected as a leader of a
variety of projects and community organisations related to health and social
issues.
With perseverance and handwork, she
successfully achieved the following appropriate rewards, she was Runner Up 1 as
The Most Outstanding Student in her faculty, became the recipient of the Goodwill
International Foundation, she received the title of YoungChangeMaker 2013 by
Ashoka Indonesia, and the winner of a number of writing competitions, including
both scientific and non-scientific papers.
Faiqa's passion in Women’s and
Children’s Health stemmed from her childhood experiences. Combined with the
lessons that she comprehended whilst in nursing college, she was led to
initiate a community approach criteria aimed to improve the knowledge of
parents in Indonesia. This program was named MaternMom Indonesia, which
focussed on educating parents and prospective parents about reproductive and
maternal health, effective parenting, children’s health and development.
Faiqa believes that every single,
positive change will develop and take place via the gaining of knowledge,
awareness and wisdom. By establishing MaternMom Indonesia as a non-profit
organisation, she believes there will be more educated and skilled parents in
Indonesia who will have the opportunity and ability to raise their children to
become a more progressive and socially aware generation.
Faiqa also loves creating and writing
poems. When she was in junior high school, she created many unpublished poems,
and was frequently asked by her peers to create poems as a gift.
Now, Faiqa Himma Amalia has recently
graduated in the practical education at nursing college and has dreams to
become a family nurse specialist.
